Requirements

Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience as an accountant, with a strong grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). They should possess excellent Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or equivalent, and experience in fractional, freelance, or project-based accounting roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Fractional Accountant will manage and maintain full-cycle accounting processes, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll; prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports; perform budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax requirements in multiple jurisdictions; assist in year-end audits and tax preparations; provide strategic financial advice to support decision-making for growth, cost reduction, and risk management; and implement or optimize accounting systems tailored to the client’s needs.
