Position Overview

The Account Manager LATAM is a key member of the Customer Success Team, responsible for managing a portfolio of high-net-worth (HNW) customer accounts at Xapo Bank. This role involves identifying leads, building strong customer relationships, and providing assistance with all Xapo Bank products. In collaboration with regional Customer Success Advisors, Account Managers ensure a seamless onboarding process and a positive customer journey, aiming to create loyal, long-term customers.

This position requires a willingness to travel for regional events and in-person client meetings to strengthen relationships. The primary goal is to retain and grow the client base while prioritizing customer satisfaction. Account Managers are tasked with achieving defined revenue targets through both retention of existing business and acquisition of new business to maximize bank profitability.


Responsibilities

  • Originate, onboard, and maintain HNW customer relationships within the LATAM region.
  • Understand customer needs and develop appropriate solutions based on their circumstances and risk appetite.
  • Serve as a regional escalation point for Customer Success Advisors providing banking services.
  • Attend regional events to promote the Xapo brand and generate new leads.
  • Meet existing customers face-to-face to foster stronger relationships.
  • Monitor customer portfolios and provide timely updates.
  • Act as an expert on Xapo's products, conducting regular reviews to reassess client risk profiles and wealth management needs.
  • Perform all tasks in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and targets in alignment with team and business objectives.
  • Conduct product demonstrations for prospects and customers.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop strategies for increasing the customer base and identifying cross-selling opportunities to grow Assets Under Management (AUM).
  • Go above and beyond to ensure client needs are met throughout their journey with Xapo.
  • Stay updated on advancements in the crypto and traditional finance industries.
  • Escalate region-specific issues to Product and other partner teams.

Skills Needed

  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • A minimum of 3 years of customer-facing banking experience in private banking, private wealth, investment banking, or commercial banking.
  • Professional or personal exposure to crypto markets.
  • Proven track record of originating leads and managing customer relationships in the financial services industry.
  • Confidence in conducting face-to-face and online meetings with customers.
  • Ability to handle inquiries from prospects at industry events.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving KPIs/targets related to conversion.
