Requirements

  • Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: 2-5+ years of sales experience in a relevant industry, demonstrating technical strength and the ability to navigate the Microbiology portfolio or similar
  • Demonstrated proficiency in sales planning and execution using standard sales tools (e.g., Sales Force.com)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Implement and effectively apply the Sales Methodology framework strategy, aligning with long-term sales and profit objectives
  • Communicate the value of partnering with Thermo Fisher Scientific, emphasizing world-class solutions and customer value proposition
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with major accounts at all management levels to drive MBD product line sales within the assigned territory
  • Develop and monitor territory business plans and key account strategies, ensuring regular progress updates
  • Collaborate with other Groups and Divisions within Thermo Fisher Scientific to align and implement successful strategies
  • Understand and counter competitive positions and tactics within accounts to mitigate threats effectively
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements
  • Collaborate with internal collaborators to ensure timely and effective contract launches and renewals
  • Champion the use of Sales Force.com to manage customer data, leads, opportunities, and the sales pipeline
  • Submit reports and manage expenses accurately and efficiently
  • Exemplify and promote the 4-I values in all interactions and decisions
