Requirements

  • Proficient in German to a native level with fluency in English
  • Degree in business, finance, marketing, general management, or equivalent experience
  • Experience winning new business, on-boarding new business, and managing the ongoing P&L of client programs
  • Experience as a key account manager, account executive or other relevant role
  • Experience in insurance, finance, technology or another relevant sector
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation skills and executive presence
  • Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, client management skills
  • Ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Experience in sales or marketing and managing relationships with essential clients
  • In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis
  • Willingness to travel 25% within Germany for client and team meetings

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily relationship of multiple important clients, delivery of service obligations and working with main teams to enhance the customer experience
  • Contribute to the commercial delivery of client plans – being responsible for main accounts in Germany
  • Contribute to the creation of and delivery of client P&L and identify and deliver new business opportunities to promote incremental value
  • Develop sustainable and profitable long-term relationships with clients, ensuring engagement with strategic direction and daily management of our client account
  • Support service delivery and ensure that main Service level agreement and Goals are delivered
  • Maintain oversight of the contracted service to the client, quickly identifying issues which may arise with customer experience through analysis of customer feedback, root cause analysis of complaints and deliver an action plan to improve and remove points of friction
  • Work with the executive team of Assurant Germany and Assurant Europe to develop growth strategies for new revenue and competitive opportunities
  • Partner with product and marketing teams to develop customer strategies, plans to attract new business, define creative offerings and grow existing accounts
  • Provide consumer, market, and competitor insights to wider leadership team to influence regional strategy
  • Develop the reputation of Assurant in the market as a strategic partner to its clients and a specialist in the insurance and trade-in market
