Strong understanding of industry themes (business trends, regulatory, corporate finance) across insurance segments (e.g., life, health)
Understanding of industry shifts in the insurance asset management industry, such as convergence of insurance and asset management and growth in insurance company demand for private credit
Specific knowledge of risk-based capital regimes, particularly for life insurers (a plus)
Knowledge of private credit and fixed income
Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to prioritize opportunities based on client and market demands and broader PIMCO strategic direction
Responsibilities
Lead strategic projects to develop new business areas for insurance clients
Quarterback firm resources (e.g., PMs, product specialists, servicing AMs) to deliver solutions and investment content
Support new business development opportunities with insurance companies as a specialist
Support client servicing efforts for parts of the business that require specific expertise (e.g., rated notes)
Contribute to insurance-focused thought leadership (e.g., articles) and liaise with industry media partners for business development and marketing efforts
Travel, attend client-related events, and industry conferences
