Requirements

  • Strong understanding of industry themes (business trends, regulatory, corporate finance) across insurance segments (e.g., life, health)
  • Understanding of industry shifts in the insurance asset management industry, such as convergence of insurance and asset management and growth in insurance company demand for private credit
  • Specific knowledge of risk-based capital regimes, particularly for life insurers (a plus)
  • Knowledge of private credit and fixed income
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to prioritize opportunities based on client and market demands and broader PIMCO strategic direction

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic projects to develop new business areas for insurance clients
  • Quarterback firm resources (e.g., PMs, product specialists, servicing AMs) to deliver solutions and investment content
  • Support new business development opportunities with insurance companies as a specialist
  • Support client servicing efforts for parts of the business that require specific expertise (e.g., rated notes)
  • Contribute to insurance-focused thought leadership (e.g., articles) and liaise with industry media partners for business development and marketing efforts
  • Travel, attend client-related events, and industry conferences
