Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of customer account, focusing on current business competitiveness and nurturing future growth opportunities
  • Serve as the commercial liaison between Drivetrain & Morse Systems and the local customer account, ensuring continuity of existing business and thorough communication to appropriate departments
  • Manage/resolve local commercial issues, including quotation, pricing, packaging, logistics, tooling, accounts receivable, and purchase orders for production and prototype business
  • Continuously develop customer relationships at the administrative level and support the customer management/development plan outlined by the Global Customer Manager
  • Function as the intermediary between customers and Drivetrain & Morse Systems to enhance image as a world-class global supplier
  • Provide engineering support, including basic application engineering, returned product analysis, and product launch support
  • Collaborate with quality, production control, and logistics departments to achieve or exceed performance levels on production and prototype business
  • Manage customer cost initiatives within pricing strategy parameters, including creating, negotiating, and executing an annual pricing plan
  • Coordinate with global customer management, product engineering, and manufacturing engineering for cost savings implementation
  • Facilitate coordination of design change requests between operations, engineering, and purchasing groups at customer and Drivetrain & Morse Systems; lead or support program management during launch and mass production
  • Understand annual and monthly powertrain production forecasts and their impact on forecast and budget; develop understanding of micro and macro business environments
  • Collect, investigate, and inform Drivetrain & Morse Systems of timely competitor activity/information to exploit competitive weaknesses
