Enterprise Account Executive - Public Sector (Germany)

Position Overview

Confluent is revolutionizing data streaming, enabling companies to react faster, build smarter, and deliver dynamic experiences. We are seeking a driven Enterprise Account Executive to join our Sales Team, focusing on our German Public Sector Accounts segment. This role requires a strong blend of prospecting, sales, negotiation, and leadership skills to meet and exceed quarterly sales targets. We are looking for individuals with a "consumption/growth" mentality and a proven track record in a value-driven sales model.

What You Will Do

  • Drive revenue growth within large, complex, and highly visible Public Sector Accounts.
  • Proactively prospect, identify, qualify, develop, and close sales opportunities.
  • Continue to grow consumption within existing customer accounts.
  • Lead, drive, and execute strategic, complex sales cycles, demonstrating the value of Confluent at the C-level.
  • Become an in-depth expert on Confluent offerings, product suites, and the competitive landscape.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer strategies and business goals to act as a trusted advisor.
  • Collaborate closely with partner ecosystem teams for joint sales efforts.
  • Align with Solutions Engineering for technical wins and Professional Services for customer experience.
  • Work with Customer Success Management to identify and close expansion opportunities and renewals.

What You Will Bring

  • Proven experience in quota-carrying sales roles within a competitive market, with a focus on Public Sector consumption growth.
  • Prior experience in Big Data, Consumption, Cloud, SaaS, Open Source, or Enterprise IT Solutions.
  • Experience with sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Challenger.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and execute complex sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Consistent track record of success and overachievement in hitting sales quotas.
  • Ability to articulate and sell business value to organizations of all sizes.
  • Experience in developing and improving processes and managing organizational change.
  • Exceptional skills in relationship-building, customer relations, and negotiation.
  • Openness to travel to customer locations as needed.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred.
