About the Role

CrowdStrike Information Technology is seeking an AV Engineer to join the IT Network Engineering team. This team plays a critical role in building network, VoIP, and AV infrastructure that supports all CrowdStrike teams. The successful candidate will be instrumental in building and supporting AV infrastructure at scale within a collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and Operate: Manage collaboration spaces, conference room technology, and video collaboration platforms (Slack, Google Meet, Zoom) according to CrowdStrike's reference AV architecture.
  • Monitor and Improve: Monitor AV infrastructure and traffic, identify problem areas, and recommend infrastructure and performance improvements based on current and projected enterprise needs.
  • Documentation: Create and update AV knowledge-based documentation, including AV operating procedures.
  • Vendor Management: Manage and coordinate with AV service vendors and partners to ensure timely issue resolution and system maintenance.
  • System Maintenance: Prepare clear written plans and execute scheduled AV system maintenance to meet objectives within designated maintenance windows.
  • Support: Provide technical expertise and remote support for AV-related issues to the Service Desk and on-site teams for Executive Briefing Centers (EBC).
  • Reporting: Provide regular status updates on operational metrics and ongoing maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues across various platforms and hardware configurations.
  • Strategic Input: Support the strategic roadmap for AV by providing operational insights and improvement recommendations.
  • Project Updates: Report regularly to the product owner on project status to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaboration: Provide subject matter expertise to functional project teams and participate in cross-team major initiatives.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise customers in AV engineering/implementation.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with members of multiple teams across different world regions.
  • Troubleshooting: Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining AV hardware, including displays, microphones, speakers, and control systems.
  • Video Conferencing: Experience with video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams, Webex), including account administration and user support.
  • AV Protocols: Knowledge of AV signal distribution methods and protocols (HDMI, HDBaseT, Dante, NDI).
  • Documentation Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret AV system documentation, signal flow diagrams, and rack elevations.
  • Vendor Support Management: Experience managing support cases with AV vendors.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and end-user support.
  • Language: Must speak fluent English and communicate clearly in written English.
