Requirements

  • Undergraduate currently pursuing a degree with an expected graduation date of December 2026 – June 2027
  • Able to begin full time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2027 – August 2027
  • Minimum, predicted, 2:1 from an accredited university
  • Business proficient in English
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Excel-based calculations, presenting data in the accurate format, simple macro builds, using Excel functions to analyze data)
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, SQL, and/or VBA
  • Strong interest in the financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance
  • Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to function efficiently and problem-solve in a fast paced and time-critical environment
  • Outstanding communication skills which enable you to operate in a complex financial and mathematical environment
  • Traits: ethical, collaborative, organized, flexible, high energy, self-starter, accountable, humble
  • Finance, fixed income, and/or capital markets coursework (recommended but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring investment objectives are reflected across portfolios in scope
  • Monitoring portfolio positions and products versus client guidelines in concert with Compliance team
  • Coordinating with Portfolio Management on re-balancing of portfolios
  • Utilizing proprietary risk systems for monitoring portfolio exposures
  • Assisting in account transitions and cash flow management
  • Conducting performance and attribution analyses
  • Responding to ad hoc requests from the Portfolio Management team
