Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • Must be able to begin full time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2027 – August 2027
  • Must be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2026 semester (August 2026 – December 2026)
  • Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university
  • Are business proficient in English
  • Show a strong interest in the financial markets, macroeconomics, investments, finance
  • Have strong work ethic and integrity; be a team player that is proactive and self-motivated
  • Have the ability to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Are comfortable with handling ambiguity
  • Possess outstanding analytical and mathematical skills
  • Have proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, SQL, and/or VBA

Responsibilities

  • Aggregate sector/market news and trade flows through communication with sell-side traders in order to update Trade Floor
  • Analyze and develop trade ideas in fixed income products
  • Communicate with sell-side traders/economist/strategist in order understand current market dynamics
  • Support Senior Portfolio Managers in terms of managing client accounts
  • Create tools in order to streamline processes and improve efficiency
