Requirements

Candidates should possess 3+ years of practical experience supporting or implementing VDI solutions in an IT infrastructure role, proficiency with multiple VDI technologies such as Amazon WorkSpaces, Microsoft AVD, VMware VDI, or similar, and experience with desktop virtualization, networking, Active Directory, identity management, and security best practices. They should also have hands-on experience supporting mixed desktop environments (Windows and Mac) and the ability to effectively communicate solutions in practical language between technical and business stakeholders. Experience with Microsoft Azure/InTune, Okta, AWS Cloud, and VMware Linux distributions is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Solutions Subject Matter Expert will act as the internal expert on VDI platforms and deployment models, evaluate vendor proposals and designs, provide ongoing technical input throughout the project’s implementation, partner with stakeholders and the vendor to ensure successful delivery, identify configuration gaps and potential risks, perform User Acceptance Testing, and translate technical details into actionable guides/SOPs. Additionally, the role will involve collaborating with Compliance, IT, InfoSec, Engineering, and Sales teams to ensure the solution meets requirements, advising on endpoint strategies, and contributing to knowledge transfer and documentation for internal teams.
