Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree and have 7 years of relevant experience, including over 5 years of leadership in automotive fixed operations and over 5 years of leading, coaching, and developing people in the automotive industry. Proficiency in automotive technical knowledge, business acumen, service operations, warranty administration, customer experience, and dealership service & parts operations is required. Advanced knowledge of automotive parts and service systems, dealer operating reports, fixed analysis tools, dealership profit department structures, and consultative selling skills are also necessary. The ability to travel 60% within the assigned zone and quarterly to the regional office is essential. Preferred qualifications include inspiring and motivating others, building strong relationships, driving results and change management, and demonstrating effective communication skills.
The Zone Manager will lead and develop a team to support GM's dealer network in growing parts revenue, customer pay repair orders, customer retention, technician training, and warranty administration. Responsibilities include modeling GM's core values, fostering a customer-centric culture, driving change management, and taking ownership of zone revenue, retention, and customer experience. The manager will lead the zone team to execute activities and achieve performance goals, staying knowledgeable about industry changes and evaluating processes to make adjustments. Key duties involve driving revenue growth, achieving KPIs, analyzing dealer marketing plans, providing recommendations, ensuring business plan execution, and implementing countermeasures to mitigate headwinds and drive innovation.
