Requirements

Candidates should have a background in bioengineering, protein design, synthetic biology, or molecular biology, with an MS, PhD, or deep industry experience preferred. Proven experience in science writing, content marketing, or technical storytelling within biotech or life sciences is required. The ability to distill complex scientific concepts into engaging content for technical audiences is essential, along with familiarity with content-driven marketing and audience engagement in scientific and biotech spaces. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills are necessary, along with a portfolio of published work. A self-starter mentality is important, as candidates should be able to take initiative and execute independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

The Writer / Content Creator will create high-quality content across multiple formats, including blog posts, case studies, whitepapers, videos, and presentations. They will translate complex scientific ideas into clear, engaging storytelling for a technical audience and develop and execute content-driven marketing campaigns that align with company goals and scientific milestones. The role includes leading the editorial strategy to ensure a consistent voice and message across all content, engaging with the scientific community to produce content that fosters trust and credibility, and collaborating with internal teams to craft narratives that showcase innovation. Additionally, they will optimize content for reach and engagement using SEO, distribution strategies, and performance tracking, while working independently and taking ownership of content planning, execution, and iteration.
