Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in group benefits sales with an established presence in the broker marketplace and a college degree with a concentration in business management, finance, or risk management, or equivalent work experience. The role requires the inclination to seek and analyze data, an entrepreneurial and creative approach to developing new ideas, the ability to seek opinions and process feedback, and a high degree of integrity.
The Sales Consultant will support the creation and execution of a strategy for Broker Distribution to meet sales, retention, profitability, and expense objectives. They will meet annual sales goals, partner with distribution resources to deliver the Workforce Benefits value proposition to the broker community, and work to strengthen broker relationships. Responsibilities include executing broker meetings, driving RFPs, building local broker relationships, demonstrating proficiency in group products, maintaining connections with internal teams, utilizing approaches for growth, and representing the company at industry events.
