Requirements

  • 8 years demonstrated experience in supply chain operations and the deep use of core supply chain systems
  • Prior leadership experience with significant change management responsibilities (preferred)
  • Diverse experience with supply chain process design (preferred)
  • Deep experience with distribution center processes and supporting systems (preferred)
  • Prior experience (preferred)
  • Ability to travel up to 80% and sometimes work weekends
  • Strategic thinker with ability to think across physical operations and logical IT processes
  • Ability to respond quickly to changing business needs and priorities
  • Proven track record of creating and managing change
  • Ability to rapidly earn trust with stakeholders and team members
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with business and technology stakeholders to drive product adoption and understanding as an active member of the WMS Change Network
  • Co-develop comprehensive test plans with US Foods and partner resources, complete test conditions, and communicate results to project teams and stakeholders
  • Review functionality in product demos to ensure the value and quality of features
  • Co-develop comprehensive training guides with US Foods and partner resources and lead operators through training exercises to ensure understanding of new processes and supporting technology
  • Lead local testing of all relevant WMS functionality
  • Lead business or operational readiness tasks (e.g., advanced process alignment)
  • Support inventory health and readiness; visual management (adapt signage, labeling); business cut-over planning; serve as a super-user and cut-over agent during go-live; and floor support for end-users
  • Scout future implementations to proactively understand site-specific challenges and organize feedback on solutions
  • Lead communication efforts in the field to build positive momentum for the WMS program
  • Share knowledge to develop future implementation leaders and serve as a resource to course correct future implementation teams at other sites
  • Implement and enhance US Foods IT and Process capabilities at assigned Distribution Center(s)
  • Drive successful implementation and adoption of the WMS and ensure consistent value creation for stakeholders (primarily technology users)
  • Represent the needs and voice of Field Operations
  • Work with all project resources and impacted operations to build trust and consistent, productive lines of communication
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
