Requirements

  • Basic understanding of the differences between power and control wiring systems
  • Basic understanding of field cabling techniques, securing cables, conduit, cable trays, and trunking
  • Skills in drilling and tapping metal components, correct fastening techniques, accurate measurement of materials, wire stripping, crimping, and cutting
  • Ability to prepare cables, create labels and cable tags using electronic and handheld label machines
  • Understanding of cable sizing principles and correct ferrule and crimp sizes for terminations
  • Ability to mechanically lay out and mount electrical and electronic components onto sub-panels
  • Ability to install and mount field devices, terminate cables to instrumentation, marshaling cabinets, and junction boxes
  • Understanding of industry-standard manufacturing procedures and Crusoe’s internal HPI standards for assembly, wiring, and looming
  • Understanding of the importance of maintaining sufficient material levels
  • Effective communication and liaison with project engineers and team members regarding manufacturing processes and drawing standards

Responsibilities

  • Expert assembly and precise wiring of control panels based on engineering drawings, diagrams, and verbal instructions
  • Perform mechanical assembly tasks including drilling, tapping, fastening, measuring, wire stripping, crimping, and cutting
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and HPI drawings for accurate wiring and assembly
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards in all tasks
  • Prepare cables for installation in control panels and equipment
  • Create labels and cable tags for proper identification
  • Size cables and perform secure terminations using correct ferrules and crimps
  • Lay out and mount components onto sub-panels according to drawings
  • Differentiate and wire power and control systems
  • Install and terminate field devices, cables to instrumentation, marshaling cabinets, and junction boxes
  • Assemble, wire, and loom cables according to HPI standards
  • Liaise with project engineers and team members on manufacturing processes and drawing standards
  • Maintain awareness of material levels
