Candidates should have 8-10 years of experience in enterprise software development. Strong technical design, development, programming, and problem-solving skills are required. Proven experience as a Portal Developer with a focus on Portlets, Themes, and Skins is necessary, along with experience in designing and developing web applications using JSF, MyFaces, and Struts. Familiarity with HCL Portal Server 9.5 and IBM WebSphere Application Server 9.x is essential. Candidates should have working knowledge of WebSphere Portal Server, WebSphere Content Management (WCM), and Portlets JSR168 & JSR286. Excellent knowledge of Hibernate, Spring Framework, SQL, and PLSQL is required, along with proficiency in JavaScript and experience with JavaScript frameworks like Dojo and JQuery. A solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and Ajax is necessary, and candidates should have SQL development experience, preferably with Oracle database development. Strong communication skills and a commitment to high-quality work are also essential. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain US Public Trust Clearance are required.
The WebSphere Developer will review and understand existing IBM portal Themes and Skins. They will design, develop, and test new HCL Portal Themes and Skins. The role involves reviewing and understanding existing IBM JSF1.x implementations of portlets, researching, designing, documenting, and migrating IBM JSF1.X portlets to MyFaces without impacting functionality. The developer will integrate new MyFaces with new HCL Portal Themes and Skins and review and understand existing Struts implementations. Responsibilities include researching, designing, and documenting the latest version of the Struts framework, as well as developing a proof of concept for migrating Struts1/Struts2 applications to the latest version of Struts and integrating them with new Themes and Skins. Additionally, the developer will deploy applications to HCL Portal Server 9.5 and WebSphere Application Server 9.x.
