Responsibilities

  • Deliver Systems Engineering and Network Communications expertise to Complex Weapons Projects in areas such as Networked Weapons, Platform to Missile Communications, Battlefield Communications, and Missile-to-Missile Communications (NC department)
  • Support delivery of secure communication systems into MBDA Weapon Systems across the whole Project Life Cycle (NC department)
  • Develop and deliver system-wide architectures and algorithms to optimise end-to-end mission performance (WSAP department)
  • Plan, model, and adapt missile routes to optimise weapon effectiveness (WSAP department)
  • Automate weapon missions using machine learning techniques to simplify operator decisions (WSAP department)
  • Develop algorithms for autonomous behaviours and decision-making capabilities (WSAP department)
  • Deliver core products such as Target Modelling, Weapon Planning, and Launcher Interfaces into MBDA programmes (WSAP department)
  • Utilise and exploit latest technological advancements for MBDA weapon systems (WSAP department)
  • Work independently and in teams, support customer meetings, and visit other offices
  • Apply university learning to real-world engineering projects across major defence programmes or internal R&D studies
