Requirements

  • BSEE or similar with 10+ years of experience in electronics development
  • Experience managing globally distributed teams and navigating cross-cultural communication effectively
  • Experience developing embedded systems and partnering with firmware teams to deliver low power systems with a seamless user experience
  • Deep understanding of the process by which systems are optimized for cost, performance, and hardware/firmware development efficiency
  • Experience developing connected products (bluetooth, wifi, GPS, LTE, UWB, NFC)
  • Experience with vehicle / motor control systems
  • Experience with positioning systems (GPS, Bluetooth positioning, UWB, dead reckoning) and developing them

Responsibilities

  • Manage and inspire a high-performance global electrical systems engineering team that develops the industry’s best hardware
  • Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership to shape and influence future roadmaps, product architectures, technology investments, partnerships, and product plans
  • Engage in and support all aspects of the product life cycle management, including concept, development, integration, qualification, manufacturing, delivery, acceptance, field performance, and end-of life
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to identify electronics system features, functions, and requirements
  • Provide technical oversight and management of ODM and JDM supplier relationships and projects
  • Create initial prototypes and concept models of electronics systems with an eye towards practicality and manufacturing feasibility
  • Stay abreast of new technologies relevant to our industry and implement them when feasible
  • Bring best in class tools and processes to Lime’s electrical systems development including eCAD, schematic capture, simulation, SIPI, PCB layout, PCB fab, SMT, ICT, conducted and OTA RF testing, system validation, and qualification
  • Manage projects with nebulous goals and direction
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive team culture, aligning with Lime’s belief that different perspectives lead to better outcomes
