Must perform assigned tasks accurately while meeting production standards in a fast-paced warehouse operation
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures
Ability to work in multi-temperature areas as assigned (e.g., freezer, coolers, dry conditions)
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to constantly lift cases of products weighing between 4.5 to 100 lbs. from various heights (4 inches to 97 inches), carry them 5 feet, and handle 160-200 cases per hour
Ability to constantly push and pull cases with upper body forces of 50 lbs
Ability to occasionally ascend/descend a 19-inch step, enter forklift with 38-inch height and 24-inch width space, and enter spaces with 46-49 inch headroom
Ability to perform constant dynamic forward bending to 12 inches height and depth while holding a 2-lbs. pick tool
Availability for 1st and 2nd shifts, Sundays, and mandated overtime required
Responsibilities
Locate and lift cases, boxes, bags, and/or pallets of dry groceries, frozen foods, dairy products, produce, poultry, fish, beef, pork and related products in specific quantities for delivery to customers by using order sheets or an audio headset
Operate powered industrial equipment (e.g., single and double pallet jacks)
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including conducting inspections of powered industrial equipment using a safety checklist
Report damaged products, quality issues, and out-of-stock/low volume products
Utilize proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages
Complete orders by selecting products from warehouse racks, assemble, palletize, and/or shrink wrap products/pallets for customer orders
Work in dry or cooled product areas including refrigerated and freezer compartments
