Requirements

  • Health & Welfare outsourcing services expertise required
  • Bachelor’s Degree, minimum; Master’s Degree or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 7 years related product/industry experience; 4-5+ years of Fidelity experience desirable
  • Health & Insurance and/or individual property and casualty broker license desirable
  • Approximately 50% travel requirement
  • Leadership skills including coaching, mentoring, displaying Fidelity’s core values in all situations
  • Perform both strategic and tactical work optimally, applying strategy to high impact messages/themes throughout all phases of the deal
  • Develop solutions consistent with current and planned capabilities, including understanding the financial impact of such solutions and with respect to standard business model
  • Make appropriate decisions swiftly and holistically
  • Get results while preserving relationships; internal influence skills include organization navigation and perspective, firmly established internal network, knowledge of exception processing and ability to articulate value vs. risk of solutions
  • Client-facing consultation and outstanding listening skills to understand needs

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Account Executives, Managing Directors and Product & Service Consultants to win Health and Welfare for largest clients
  • Perform comprehensive analysis of client’s requirements for participants and plan sponsors, including reviewing their plan document(s) and successfully representing the Fidelity solution during the sales process
  • Collaborate with Workplace Solution customers to position standard product offering to meet their needs or develop unique solutions
  • Help grow the Health & Welfare business as capabilities and market reach expand
  • Perform strategic analyses on behalf of clients and prospects to identify fit and potential service model issues which may require exception management
  • Perform detailed plan document review for potential new business relationships and detail standard & non-standard product/service requirements
  • Own internal exception approval process steps to find proven solutions
  • Provide subject matter expertise on health and welfare benefit issues during the sales/rebid process
  • Participate in the differentiation of Fidelity’s image in the HR/Finance/Benefits community through thoughtful RFP responses, high impact presentations, and preparing other team members for the presentations
  • Own the integrity of final RFP responses and ensure that team of Account Executives understand the solution being offered
  • Consult with prospective clients and represent the Fidelity value proposition as part of the broader solution offering
  • Monitor benefits developments and industry and competitive trends on an ongoing basis
  • Represent the voice of the customer/market to influence product roadmap
  • Catalyze change within the team and business unit with an eye for customer needs
  • Provide real time market feedback to product, systems and marketing org
