Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive programmatic advertising strategy aligned with company revenue objectives, driving growth in programmatic yield and identifying new revenue opportunities
  • Own programmatic revenue forecasting and performance against targets, analyzing data and building models to inform strategic recommendations on market trends, competitive positioning, and growth initiatives
  • Design, implement, and optimize pricing strategy for open auction inventory using unified pricing rules, conducting hands-on analysis to maximize yield while maintaining advertiser demand and premium user experience
  • Balance revenue optimization with best-in-class site experience, ensuring strategies enhance editorial mission and reader engagement while considering long-term audience retention
  • Cultivate and manage strategic programmatic partner relationships (SSPs, DSPs, exchanges), driving negotiations, troubleshooting issues, and keeping initiatives on track
  • Identify and develop programmatic direct partnerships through performance data analysis, collaborating with sales and marketing to expand revenue streams
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Editorial, and AdOps to align programmatic implementations with premium publisher positioning and audience expectations
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to track KPIs, identify optimization opportunities, and design/implement A/B tests to enhance ad performance and yield
  • Monitor ad inventory levels and user experience metrics, building reports and dashboards for revenue performance and site quality indicators (e.g., page load times, viewability, ad density)
  • Create executive-level reports and presentations, conducting underlying analysis while leveraging team for data collection and validation
  • Manage a team of two analysts
