Position Overview
The Vice President of Finance will serve as a key financial leader, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and driving financial strategy, business performance, and corporate finance initiatives. This role will oversee financial planning & analysis (FP&A), business unit finance support, and capital allocation, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term objectives. The VP of Finance will work closely with senior leadership to provide financial insights, guide decision-making, and optimize resource allocation. This role does not oversee accounting or treasury but will collaborate with those teams to support financial operations and strategic growth.
Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Business Partnership (30%)
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and executive leadership, providing financial guidance to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
- Lead financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
- Partner with business unit leaders to analyze financial performance, optimize profitability, and ensure financial alignment with strategic goals.
- Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support business decisions, including market expansion, pricing strategies, and investment evaluations.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) (30%)
- Oversee the FP&A function, ensuring timely financial reporting, variance analysis, and performance tracking.
- Drive improvements in financial forecasting and reporting, leveraging automation and advanced analytics.
- Present financial insights to executive leadership, identifying key trends and opportunities for strategic growth.
- Establish and refine financial dashboards to provide real-time visibility into business performance.
Corporate Finance & Capital Allocation (20%)
- Support the CFO in evaluating capital investments, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and strategic partnerships.
- Lead financial due diligence and risk assessments for potential investments.
- Develop financial models to assess return on investment (ROI) and cost-benefit analyses for major projects.
- Collaborate with investor relations and corporate development teams to align financial strategies with external communications.
Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency (20%)
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance operational efficiency across the organization.
- Implement best practices in financial analysis, reporting, and business intelligence tools.
- Work cross-functionally with teams such as sales, operations, and product development to ensure financial alignment with business objectives.
- Lead initiatives to improve financial data integrity and accessibility for decision-making.
