Requirements

Candidates must possess a CPA designation and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting. A minimum of 15 years of progressive accounting experience is required, including at least 4 years in a Controller-level role. Proven experience in leading month-end close, preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements, and optimizing accounting systems, including ERP platforms, is essential. Strong leadership experience with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams, deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls, and experience managing audits and serving as the primary contact for external auditors are also necessary. Effective cross-functional collaboration and strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences are required.

Responsibilities

The VP Controller will lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements to inform strategic business decisions. This role involves owning and continuously improving the month-end close process, developing and enforcing accounting policies and procedures in alignment with GAAP best practices, and optimizing accounting operations, including accounts receivable and accounts payable. The VP Controller will partner cross-functionally to analyze financial performance and support business growth initiatives, enhance and monitor internal controls, financial systems, and audit readiness, and oversee the optimization of the ERP system. Additionally, this position will serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and manage all aspects of the annual audit process, while also managing, mentoring, and developing the accounting team for scale.
