Requirements

  • MBA or equivalent preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or similar required
  • 3+ years experience in raising equity and debt project capital
  • Knowledge and experience working with renewable energy companies
  • Experience with tax structuring, ideally partnership flip and leasing structures
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with executive-level decision-makers
  • Strong team player: ease of working cross-functionally with Accounting, Sales, Legal, and Asset Management groups
  • Analytic Skill: ability to spot problems quickly and find creative ways to solve them

Responsibilities

  • Developing a portfolio of scalable, low-cost financing structures to fund the Company’s residential solar systems
  • Identifying and cultivating relationships with potential tax equity, cash equity, and project debt investors
  • Structuring and leading project finance transactions from origination to close
  • Partnering with accounting and asset management to transition closed deals to the post-execution phase
  • Managing relationships with ongoing tax equity partners and identifying follow-on investment opportunities
  • Engaging in discrete analytical projects to drive business decision-making
  • Addressing strategic investment opportunities
  • Executing corporate modeling and capital planning activities
  • Playing multiple roles in capital markets and fundraising activities
  • Team-management capabilities: ensuring proper delegation, defining roles/responsibilities, maintaining a positive team culture, and providing growth and development opportunities for reporting team members
