PhD in biochemistry, chemistry, biophysics, or related field
Strong technical background in biochemistry
10+ years experience in people and project management, with increasing roles and responsibilities
Proven record of leading multidisciplinary teams
Comprehensive knowledge about nucleic acids biochemistry and bioconjugation
Proficiency in lab methods: PCR, electrophoresis, cytometry, NGS library preparation, mass spectrometry, and nanopore sequencing
Experience with transferring manual assays onto engineering prototypes or commercial robotic platforms
Experience in the development of a commercial product (highly desired)

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the CTO and executive leadership to define and execute a translational R&D strategy
Drive innovation in sample preparation, assay development, instrumentation, and data analysis
Solve critical challenges in integrating cutting-edge science with product development
Directly contribute to experimental work and troubleshoot technical challenges (approximately 25% of the time)
Analyze experimental data, identify trends, and iterate on protocols
Manage project timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
Foster professional development of scientists and engineers
Represent the company as a domain expert and thought leader
