Requirements

  • Expertise in programmatic advertising, digital media buying, monetization strategies, and the ad tech ecosystem
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel and reporting tools; comfortable translating complex data into actionable insights
  • Executive level communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • Collaborative team player with proven ability to navigate a fast-paced, evolving environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term programmatic revenue strategies across programmatic sales channels, including direct, PMP, and work with Yield on open exchange
  • Continuously identify and capitalize on opportunities within emerging platforms, technologies, and data solutions
  • Set both short- and long-term objectives to ensure sustainable programmatic sales expansion
  • Cultivate, strengthen, and maintain executive-level relationships with key clients, agencies, DSPs, SSPs, and tech partners
  • Serve as a strategic advisor by providing insights into market trends, best practices, and campaign strategies that drive measurable outcomes
  • Lead, inspire, and mentor a growing programmatic sales team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and results
  • Partner closely with internal teams (ad ops, yield, data, editorial, product, and direct sales) to ensure seamless execution
  • Drive alignment across teams to meet revenue goals and elevate Newsweek’s position in the digital media marketplace
  • Regularly report on programmatic sales financial performance, providing insights into revenue drivers, trends, and opportunities
  • Leverage analytics and reporting tools to forecast trends, measure the effectiveness of sales programs, and guide decision-making
  • Ensure transparency and actionable insights are delivered to internal leadership and external partners
