Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in real estate acquisitions preferably in the industrial / logistics sector
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in real estate, finance, business, accounting, economics or related area
  • Expert ability to review and understand financial models in Excel and Argus Enterprise
  • Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail including an editing eye, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong negotiating skills with the ability to navigate nuanced and complex investment scenarios
  • Ability to function both in a team-oriented setting, and independently
  • Strong sense of personal motivation, responsibility, entrepreneurship, team player, low ego
  • Ability to work well alone / with a team with little to no supervision in fast paced environments
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and writing skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide acquisition leadership in deal procurement, underwriting, negotiation, oversight of due diligence, and investment committee memos
  • Creation of, presentation to, and approval by the representative Investment Committee
  • Execute on post-acquisition strategies to ensure investment success and integration of the asset into the ownership's portfolio
  • Communication with clients, joint venture partners, consultants, brokers, legal and risk management professionals
  • Assist in quarterly asset valuations
  • Special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
  • Identification of new acquisition and development opportunities in the Central US, primarily focused on the Texas markets of Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin and Houston
  • Comprehensive responsibilities related to new acquisitions and developments ranging from sourcing, underwriting and analytics, structuring, negotiating, due diligence, and closing
