Requirements

  • Work onsite 4 days a week at the Medtronic facility in Mounds View, Minnesota
  • Ability to travel domestically 5-10% to enhance collaboration and ensure project completion
  • Experience managing large Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firms, including contracts, supplier relationships, SLAs, KPIs, and deliverables
  • Skills in building internal and external relationships
  • Ability to work collaboratively with VMO team, internal customers, and IT services suppliers

Responsibilities

  • Ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement from Medtronic’s third-party technology service providers
  • Manage daily interactions with large MSP and BPO firms to optimize performance and value creation
  • Manage contracts and supplier relationships for a subset of Global IT’s Top 50 strategic IT services suppliers
  • Work with the Senior Director and other Program Managers to execute the VMO strategy for Global IT’s services suppliers
  • Deliver against annual cost and quality goals, holding vendors accountable for contractual performance while maintaining positive relationships
  • Collaborate with the VMO team, internal customers, and IT services suppliers to match requirements to capabilities and set proper expectations
  • Support the global workforce strategy leveraging third-party partners for recurring “run” functions (MSP-based) and variable “plan” and “build” requirements (SOW-based)
