Responsibilities

  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly Associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, evaluating performance, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset
  • Upholds the Company's Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies and procedures, providing resolutions, and proactively seeking Associate comments and concerns
  • Ensures compliance with Company policies and procedures by holding Associates and managers accountable, analyzing reports, implementing asset protection and safety controls, maintaining quality assurance, overseeing safety and operational reviews, developing action plans to correct deficiencies, and providing direction on Company programs and initiatives
  • Initiates, directs, and participates in community outreach programs, encourages Associates and managers to serve as good community members, establishes relationships with key community individuals or groups, presents Company's perspective to external organizations, follows media guidelines, and champions Company-sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts
  • Drives financial performance by ensuring sales and profit goals are achieved, leading management in controlling expenses, developing plans to correct financial deficiencies, overseeing budgets, and analyzing economic trends and community needs for forecasting
  • Models, enforces, and provides direction on proper Customer service approaches and techniques to resolve needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines
  • Directs the management team in facility operations, communicates with management and hourly Associates about operations, merchandising, and company direction
  • Drives sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting, forecasting sales, and assessing economic trends and community needs
