Requirements

  • Provides up-to-date expertise in pharmaceutical care, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, counseling customers on health care and prescription medication needs, maintaining confidential information, and handling controlled medications and documentation

  • Administers immunizations and other Walmart programs in compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations
  • Creates a culture of patient care, safety, and accuracy; communicates expectations, holds others accountable for SOPs, ensures counseling on new therapies, analyzes improvements, promotes error reporting
  • Fosters environment for healthcare compliance execution, trains on compliance initiatives, monitors billing, HIPAA, SOPs, utilizes auditing for improvements

Responsibilities

  • Provide pharmaceutical care to customers, including processing/dispensing prescriptions, counseling, maintaining confidentiality and controlled medication documentation
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to others on information and best practices, support alignment for customer/business needs
  • Implement business solutions by building partnerships, identifying needs, carrying out processes, monitoring results, adapting to changes
  • Model/enforce customer service techniques, resolve customer needs/complaints within guidelines
  • Model compliance with policies/procedures/ethics, use Open Door Policy, assist others in application
  • Analyze/interpret reports, implement/monitor loss prevention/safety/quality controls, oversee reviews, develop action plans, provide direction on programs/initiatives
  • Maintain confidential information, documentation, records per company/state/federal guidelines
  • Provide comprehensive patient care: process/dispense prescriptions, administer immunizations/programs per regulations
  • Ensure quality patient care: set expectations, accountability for SOPs/quality/safety, counseling/documentation, analyze/improve team knowledge, promote error reporting/transparency, write action plans for root causes
  • Ensure compliance execution: communicate/train/guide on initiatives, implement/monitor priorities, ensure billing/HIPAA/SOP adherence, audit for issues/improvements
