Requirements
- Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in pharmaceutical care, information, and best practices
- Ability to provide expert advice and guidance to others
- Skills in building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
- Knowledge of company policies, procedures, ethics, integrity, and legal regulations (including Board of Pharmacy statutes)
- Ability to analyze and interpret reports, implement loss prevention, safety controls, and quality assurance reviews
- Proficiency in maintaining confidential information, documentation, and records per company, state, and federal guidelines
- Capability to administer immunizations and other Walmart-developed programs
- Experience in compliance execution, including HIPAA, billing procedures, and SOPs
- Auditing skills to identify and address compliance issues
Responsibilities
- Provide pharmaceutical care to customers, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders
- Counsel customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs
- Maintain confidential information, controlled medications, and required documentation
- Develop, execute, and improve action plans by providing expert advice and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs
- Support implementation of business solutions by identifying needs, carrying out processes, monitoring progress, and adapting to changes
- Model, enforce, and guide associates on proper customer service approaches to resolve needs, complaints, and issues within company guidelines
- Model compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity; assist others in applying them
- Ensure compliance with company and legal policies by analyzing reports, implementing controls, overseeing reviews, and providing direction on programs
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including administering immunizations and programs in compliance with regulations
- Create a culture of patient care, safety, and accuracy; communicate expectations, hold others accountable for SOPs, ensure counseling on new therapies, and implement improvements for patient safety
- Promote reporting and transparency of errors; write timely plans of action for root cause correction
- Foster an environment centered on health care compliance; train and guide associates on compliance initiatives, monitor execution, ensure operational adherence to billing, HIPAA, and SOPs
- Utilize auditing processes to identify compliance issues and implement improvements
- Embrace differences and respect the individual
