Requirements
- Expertise in HVACR systems, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing equipment
- Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations, and federal/state/local HVACR industry regulations (e.g., building codes, indoor air quality, cold chain requirements)
- Up-to-date expertise in HVACR safety policies, environmental guidelines, refrigerant reclamation, and Energy Management Systems (EMS)
- Ability to manage inventory, track purchases/usage, order parts, and develop relationships with suppliers/contractors
- Skills in financial management, including budgeting, warranty claims, price comparisons, and scope of work development
- Capability to conduct inspections, evaluate technology, collect data, and provide suggestions for improvements
- Training and leadership skills for onsite sessions, hands-on repairs, and skill evaluations
- Compliance with company policies, ethics, and standards
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in Facilities Management HVACR teams by sharing resources, determining customer needs, coordinating work assignments, providing advice/feedback/support, and modeling adaptability to change
- Oversee and implement special projects for field operations by collecting data, evaluating new technologies, correcting deficiencies, and suggesting improvements
- Complete and submit required paperwork (e.g., expense vouchers, weekly summaries, refrigerant logs, work orders) to senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and HVACR regulations by following safety policies, environmental guidelines, and reclaiming ozone-depleting refrigerants
- Conduct inspections and repairs to comply with federal/state/local HVACR regulations (e.g., building codes, indoor air quality, cold chain)
- Maintain quality standards by inspecting HVACR equipment and EMS installations/modifications, ensuring contract compliance, and reporting deficiencies
- Manage resources for HVACR maintenance/repair by handling refrigerant levels, parts inventory, purchases/usage tracking, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Ensure financial sustainability by compiling budget reports, requesting equipment replacements, submitting warranty claims, reviewing invoices, conducting price comparisons, and developing project scopes (e.g., rooftop units, condenser coil replacements)
- Provide training (e.g., safety, control troubleshooting, oil system operation) through onsite sessions, hands-on repairs, skill evaluations, and reporting to leadership
- Maintain working order of HVACR, EMS, and direct digital control equipment by troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, performing preventive maintenance, sharing best practices, and managing workloads with external providers
- Demonstrate expertise in action plans, provide guidance to others, align efforts with customer/business needs, and build commitment to best practices
- Implement business solutions by building stakeholder relationships, identifying needs, carrying out processes, monitoring progress, and adapting to changes
- Model compliance with company policies, procedures, mission, values, ethics, and integrity, using the Open Door Policy
