Responsibilities

  • Manage merchandise flow through distribution network and fulfillment centers
  • Direct transportation needs and resolve escalated issues related to shipping, receiving, inventory, and returns
  • Analyze supply chain data from multiple stakeholders to identify efficiencies and streamline operations
  • Provide data to support supplier compliance and performance reviews across merchandising departments, distribution centers, and suppliers
  • Implement business processes and improvement strategies to enhance supply chain execution
  • Optimize flow paths from supplier to store to support sales, in-stock goals, and profitability
  • Collaborate with supply chain stakeholders to align on inventory, sales, and strategic objectives
  • Identify and address order exceptions, disruptions, and constraints impacting execution
  • Develop and present recommendations to resolve conflicting goals and improve performance
  • Serve as liaison between field operations, suppliers, and transportation partners (e.g., carriers, private fleet drivers)
  • Communicate operational expectations and address performance-related issues
  • Provide guidance and direction to ensure consistent execution of supply chain operations
  • Contribute to design and delivery of new processes/ways of working across supply chain
  • Prioritize product flow plans and ensure feasibility
  • Manage error correction processes and feedback loops
  • Identify opportunities to improve service levels and reduce waste using lean principles and end-to-end costing methodologies
  • Provide cost-saving recommendations and analyze impact of proposed changes
