Responsibilities

  • Supervise the team within prepared foods departments (e.g., café, rotisserie, prepared foods) by facilitating rotations, managing member needs, and delivering on the business plan
  • Communicate department goals, execute company programs, adhere to policies, and advocate for members, associates, and the company
  • Ensure the prepared foods area meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment, safety, and compliance
  • Manage seasonality in production, prioritize time between areas, and understand new products, recipes, processes, and specifications
  • Collaborate with associates and third parties to provide resources, share knowledge, and train the team
  • Leverage digital tools to plan/drive sales, improve shopping experience, elevate associate engagement, and make immediate business decisions
  • Drive business results, commit to operational excellence, plan for profitability, maintain neat/clean/safe work areas, ensure staffing/audit/compliance, and produce/display merchandise per layout plan
  • Engage with other departments and third-party partners (e.g., maintenance, suppliers, vendors) for operational continuity
  • Teach/train the team, identify training needs, develop skills for high-quality products, encourage career growth, and source new talent
  • Develop, communicate, and implement processes/practices to meet business needs by analyzing information, monitoring progress, and addressing improvements
