Requirements

  • Proficiency in managing customer service initiatives (e.g., store of the community, community outreach), resolving customer issues, developing action plans, and providing process improvement leadership
  • Knowledge of reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, controlling expenses, monitoring merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, operational processes, and mitigating shrink
  • Supervisory skills including hiring, training, mentoring associates, assigning duties, setting expectations, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset
  • Ability to recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and company growth
  • Competence in coordinating job-related activities, developing stakeholder relationships, supporting plans, identifying goals, building accountability, measuring progress, addressing improvements, and promoting continuous learning
  • Understanding of company policies, procedures, mission, values, ethics, integrity, Open Door Policy, and Walmart values (e.g., Respect the Individual, Act with Integrity)
  • Full-time availability for overnight stocking coach role in non-complex management

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, listening to associates, touring stores, providing feedback, communicating on operations, initiatives, merchandising, and leading change efforts
  • Model exceptional customer service, manage/support initiatives, resolve customer needs/complaints, develop action plans, and ensure high-quality customer experience
  • Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing P&L, managing budgeting/forecasting/expenses, ensuring merchandise presentation/inventory/operations, and implementing plans to achieve sales/profit goals and mitigate shrink
  • Provide supervision/development for hourly associates via hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognition, promoting belonging, and recruiting
  • Coordinate/ complete/ oversee job activities by maintaining stakeholder relationships, supporting plans, communicating goals, building accountability, measuring progress, addressing improvements, and promoting learning
  • Ensure compliance with policies/procedures, support mission/values/ethics/integrity, implement action plans, utilize Open Door Policy, and provide guidance on business processes
  • Build high-performing teams, embrace differences, create belonging culture, provide growth opportunities
  • Work collaboratively, build relationships, communicate positively to motivate/influence
