Requirements

  • Single Optician License (USA)
  • Ability to provide member service, assist with purchasing decisions, resolve issues, and promote products/services
  • Skills in maintaining merchandise presentation, stocking, cleaning, organizing displays, pricing, and securing merchandise
  • Knowledge of company policies for handling claims, returns, zoning, arranging merchandise, and identifying shrink/damages
  • Proficiency in receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise using equipment and completing documentation
  • Experience operating cash registers and related hardware for processing purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges
  • Expertise in selling optical products/services: assisting with decisions, measuring/adjusting/repairing frames/lenses, completing eyewear/contact lens orders, verifying prescriptions, handling paperwork, collecting payments, and performing optometric pretests

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge members, identify needs, assist with purchasing, locate merchandise, resolve issues, and promote company products/services
  • Maintain merchandise presentation: stock, set up, clean, organize displays, remove damaged goods, sign/price merchandise, secure fragile/high-shrink items
  • Maintain sales floor in optical area per company policies: handle claims/returns, zone area, arrange/organize merchandise, identify shrink/damages
  • Receive/stock merchandise in optical area, organize/maintain area following procedures, utilize equipment, complete paperwork/logs/documentation
  • Operate cash registers/equipment, process member purchases, assist with payments/returns/refunds/exchanges using appropriate procedures
  • Sell optical products/services: assist purchasing decisions, measure/adjust/repair frames/lenses, complete eyewear/contact lens orders, verify prescriptions, maintain paperwork, collect payments for doctor services, perform/record optometric pretests
