Requirements

  • Ability to provide member service, including acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products/services
  • Skills in maintaining merchandise presentation, such as stocking, setting up, cleaning, organizing displays, removing damaged goods, signing, pricing, and securing fragile/high-shrink items
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures for handling claims, returns, zoning, arranging/organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink/damages in the Optical area
  • Capability to receive, stock, and organize merchandise using appropriate equipment, merchandising, and completing required paperwork/logs/documentation
  • Proficiency in operating hardware like cash registers, processing purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges for various membership/payment types
  • Expertise in selling optical products/services, including assisting with decisions, measuring/adjusting/repairing frames/lenses, completing eyewear/contact lens orders, verifying prescriptions, handling paperwork, collecting payments, and performing/recording optometric pretests

Responsibilities

  • Provide Member service by acknowledging the Member, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting the Company's products and services
  • Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking merchandise, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise
  • Maintain the Sales Floor in the Optical area in accordance with Company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages
  • Receive and stock merchandise in the Optical area, organize and maintain the Optical area by following Company procedures, utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing paperwork, logs, and other required documentation
  • Operate hardware such as cash registers or related equipment, process member purchases, and assist in payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges using appropriate procedures for different membership and payment types
  • Sell Optical products and services by assisting Members with purchasing decisions, measuring, adjusting, and repairing frames and lenses, completing eyewear/contact lens orders, identifying and verifying prescription information, completing and maintaining paperwork/forms and other required documentation, collecting payments for doctor services, and performing and recording results of optometric pretests
