Requirements

  • Expertise in detecting, deterring, investigating, and resolving policy violations and criminal activities, including fraud investigations, evidence gathering, statements, case reports, courtroom testimony, and partnering with investigative entities
  • Ability to monitor and manage safety and risk controls, supervise safety teams, identify accident trends, implement prevention solutions, observe practices, provide training, and oversee safety reviews
  • Skills in managing facility-level training for asset protection, safety, claims, and receiving procedures, identifying gaps, determining needs, and delivering training
  • Competence in managing claims and receiving operations, ensuring policy adherence, and timely processing of claims and deliveries (e.g., damaged, defective, returned, liquidated items)

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, proper signing, inventory levels, cleanliness, stocking, rotation, display organization, and securing fragile/high-shrink merchandise
  • Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, listening, touring stores for feedback, communicating on operations/technology/initiatives/merchandising/company direction, leading change, providing expectations/guidance, and communicating objectives
  • Model and demonstrate customer service standards, follow OBW model, support initiatives (e.g., store of the community, outreach), resolve customer issues, develop action plans, and lead process improvements
  • Provide supervision/development for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing performance, ensuring belonging, and recruiting to meet staffing/growth needs
  • Control merchandise loss and improve profitability by identifying/communicating goals, building policy accountability, measuring adherence, reviewing variances, conducting reviews/audits, monitoring trends, identifying improvements, and training on controls across stores
  • Detect, deter, investigate, and resolve policy violations/criminal activities by investigating fraud/illegal acts, gathering evidence, taking statements, writing reports, providing testimony, and partnering with entities
  • Monitor safety/risk controls by ensuring safety programs, supervising teams, identifying trends, implementing accident prevention, observing practices, training associates, communicating plans, and overseeing reviews
  • Manage training/execution of asset protection, safety, claims, and receiving procedures by reviewing policies/compliance (e.g., cold chain, hazmat), identifying gaps, determining needs, and delivering training
  • Manage claims/receiving by ensuring policy/procedure adherence and timely processing of claims/deliveries
