Candidates must be board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine and possess at least 3 years of post-residency experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings. A valid and unrestricted state medical license in at least one state is required, preferably an IMLC state, along with ABMS or AOA Board Certification and completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination. Proficiency in technology and the ability to provide care for all age groups, from newborn to adult, are essential. Candidates must not be under exclusion or sanction by any healthcare program and must maintain Medicare active status. Telemedicine experience and multistate licensure are preferred.
The Urgent Care Physician will perform age-appropriate history and virtual examinations, diagnose, and evaluate patients of all ages across a wide range of conditions. Responsibilities include recommending treatment plans, maintaining accurate patient records, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and consulting or referring patients to other healthcare providers when necessary. The physician will also counsel and educate patients, manage chronic diseases and mental health conditions, and stay current with medical research. This role involves providing administrative support, reviewing lab results, and potentially supervising nurse practitioners, with flexibility for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
