Job Description: Family Practice Physician

Position Overview

Curai Health is an AI-powered virtual clinic dedicated to improving access to care at scale. We are seeking flexible Family Practice Physicians to join our clinical team, which utilizes AI-empowered electronic records to deliver urgent and primary care. Our services include asynchronous and synchronous chat-based consultations, with video visits available when needed. We are looking for physicians comfortable seeing both adult and pediatric patients, who can adapt to our 24/7 operational needs.

Requirements

• Board Certification: Physician in Family Medicine. Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) are not being considered.
• Licensure:
  • Must be a US Physician fully licensed to practice in the United States.
  • Active licenses required in CA, TX, FL (must possess at least 2 of these 3).
  • Additional desirable states include IN, MI, MS, GA, TN, and OK.
• Experience:
  • Prior chat-based telemedicine experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of telemedicine experience.
  • Experience working remotely or a strong aptitude for remote collaboration.
• Skills:
  • Digital savviness.
  • Excellent typing skills.
  • Excellent grammatical construction.
  • Excellent command of English (written and oral).
• Professional History: Must have a clear medical history with no board actions or complaints.
• Teamwork: Value a team-based collaborative approach to healthcare.
• Patient Care: Passionate about providing empathetic, personalized patient care at scale.
• Adaptability: Understand that flexibility and adaptability are key to success in a startup environment where change is constant.

Responsibilities

• See acute/urgent care patients via our live text-based chat clinic, including straightforward chronic care cases requiring refills.
• Accurately diagnose patients through detailed history-taking and provide evidence-based treatment recommendations.
• Write efficient, clear encounter visit notes demonstrating strong medical decision-making, differential diagnoses, and relevant care plans.
• Ensure all notes are closed optimally by the end of the encounter or shift.
• Partner with the AI/ML in the EHR to enhance the machine's clinical decision support capabilities.
• Provide feedback to AI/ML and product teams on features that improve provider efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay updated on EHR feature updates through continuous training and platform familiarity.
• Dedicate approximately 90% of time to clinical tasks and 10% to administrative tasks, including clinical meetings, EHR/automation product feedback, and clinical operations quality improvement projects.

Schedule

• Hours: 36 clinic hours per week, plus 4 administrative hours per week.
• Shift: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM Pacific Time, 3 nights a week.
