Job Description: Family Practice Physician (Weekend Shift)

Our company operates on a remote-first model, with our corporate office located in San Francisco. We are seeking US-licensed physicians with expertise in Family Medicine, comfortable treating both adult and pediatric patients. This role involves flexible scheduling to meet patient needs, with weekend shifts available.

Requirements

• Board Certification: Board Certified Physician in Family Medicine.
• Licensure: Several active state licenses are required. IMLC is a plus.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years of clinical practice, with significant experience in primary care and pediatrics.
  • Prior chat-based telemedicine experience is a plus.
  • Start-up experience in healthcare is a plus.
• Remote Work: Previous remote work experience or a strong aptitude for working effectively with a 100% remote team across multiple time zones.

• Digital Proficiency:
  • Digital savviness.

  • Excellent command of English.
• Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills for a professional patient experience.
• Medical History: Must have a clear medical history (no board actions or complaints).
• Language: Proficiency in English is essential. Spanish fluency is an added plus.

Responsibilities

A typical day as a Curai Physician involves:

• Patient Care:
  • Seeing acute/urgent care patients via live text-based chat.
  • Managing straightforward chronic care cases, including prescription refills.
  • Accurately diagnosing patients using detailed patient history.
  • Providing evidence-based treatment recommendations.
• Documentation:
  • Writing efficient and clear encounter visit notes.
  • Demonstrating strong medical decision-making skills, differential diagnoses, and relevant care plans.
  • Closing all notes optimally by the end of the encounter or shift.
• AI Collaboration & Feedback:
  • Partnering with AI/ML in the EHR to enhance clinical decision support.
  • Providing feedback to AI/ML and product teams on features that improve provider efficiency and accuracy.
• Continuous Learning:
  • Staying abreast of EHR feature updates through continuous training.
  • Remaining current on the platform.
• Administrative Tasks (10%):
  • Participating in clinical meetings.
  • Engaging in EHR/automation product feedback projects.
  • Contributing to clinical operations quality improvement projects.

Shift Details

Weekend Shift Physicians work three 12-hour shifts on either:

• Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• Saturday, Sunday, Monday

Salary

The annual salary range is $245,000 - $255,000, dependent on a scale based on years of experience, license coverage, selected shift, and work location.
