Requirements

  • Leadership experience in managing a team of Technical Architects in presales, particularly in Data Services & Storage
  • Ability to enable team success, development, and growth while partnering with sales managers
  • Strong collaboration skills to operate across presales ecosystem and engage with technical and global stakeholders
  • Expertise in Data Services & Storage portfolio, including block storage, unstructured data (file and object workloads), and data protection
  • Customer engagement focus, including building strategic executive relationships with clients and partners
  • Internal relationship-building with sales and company management at all levels
  • Business acumen, including understanding of business, financial, and legal concepts
  • Coaching and performance management skills for individual contributors and teams
  • Ability to model effective selling skills and motivate presales teams

Responsibilities

  • Manage a group of Presales resources to provide account or shared resource support
  • Create presales utilization plans reflecting requirements and opportunities in area of control
  • Actively collaborate with peers to address regional presales coverage gaps and leverage expertise to win opportunities
  • Assist in planning sales strategy; collaborate with sales managers to prioritize resources and assess pipelines for timely presales support
  • Contribute to and build the Presales organization culture, ensuring best-in-class experience for team members
  • Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and improve operations for alignment with business direction, quality practices, performance, and motivation
  • Develop meaningful business recommendations using business, financial, and legal concepts
  • Assess and manage employee performance for individual and group excellence; counsel through selling challenges; manage high and low performers
  • Model effective selling skills; motivate and support presales teams; demonstrate high level of leadership
