Requirements

Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, have a minimum of a 12th grade education, and possess at least one year of experience driving a commercial vehicle exceeding 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight. A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License is required, along with successful completion of a forklift driver licensing process.

Responsibilities

The Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver goods to customers and operations, picking up material from vendors and other operations, completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing loads, performing preventive maintenance, maintaining driving records and logs, and verifying shipping documents. They also conduct radio/telephone contact with base or supervisor, operate a forklift to load/unload trailers as needed, and participate in safety and other programs and meetings, while performing other duties as required.
