Candidates should possess prior experience with field work, such as construction, security systems, or low voltage wiring, and be comfortable working at heights using ladders and bucket trucks. They must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently and demonstrate handyman-like skills. Prior knowledge or willingness to be trained to operate and drive a bucket truck is required, along with comfort driving a work van (Ford Transit) and occasionally a 1 ton pickup truck (Ram 3500) or towing a small trailer.
The Installation Technician will install poles, solar panels, and license-plate reading cameras on poles, adhering to installation specifications and working on both public and private roads. They will repair minor breaks in underground irrigation or private wiring, provide installation pictures via a mobile app, perform inventory management and reporting, continue training, and receive product shipments. Additionally, they will meet with customers to discuss installation options, perform site surveys, interpret traffic control plans, and maintain a safe and professional work manner.
