Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED/equivalent
  • Minimum two years of experience in warehouse administrative or clerical position
  • Effective communication both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent telephone and customer service ability
  • Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Problem solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Strong teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Answer all incoming calls to resolve driver, sales representative, and customer issues
  • Communicate route updates to drivers
  • Utilize software (MS Excel, Omnitracs, Tandem, Kronos, etc.) to create, update, and communicate reports and files (e.g., attendance, DVIRs, backhaul spreadsheets, delivery window dispatch, driver key log, trailer temp log, transportation route updates, network updates, transportation metrics)
  • Assist in damages and shorts process by notifying vendors and drivers, and completing associated paperwork
  • Communicate key information for backhaul and transportation operations (e.g., backhaul arrivals, daily dispatch, backhaul scheduling/rescheduling, service updates to Omnitracs, abnormalities/delivery issues)
  • Assist in scheduling pick-up appointments for backhaul orders and vendors
  • Complete related paperwork and communicate backhaul and logistics information
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
