Supported by college coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience preferred
Acquire and stay current in the knowledge of the business, retail, public warehousing, transportation, finance, and accounting systems used by Burris Logistics
Responsibilities
Train and mentor transportation team members as applicable on new/modified programs
Recommend and implement programs to improve operations
Research and resolve user/customer reported application and/or data problems in an effective and timely manner
Assist project leaders on each major project; provide communication from users, requestor, developers, QC and support
Work with programmers/developers and requesting users to develop and establish project requirements, goals, and parameters
Document specifications required for a project before forwarding to development
Maintain project plans with user/customer specifications, task prioritization, and resource utilization
Respond quickly and professionally to project requests from customers and internal users
Perform actual QC tasks on select projects in addition to working with end-users and developers
Ensure tasks and documentation are completed neatly, thoroughly, accurately and timely
Promote exceptional (WOW) Customer Service by creating an environment that promotes building and maintaining effective communication with carriers, vendors internal and external customers in order to develop innovative solutions to meet customer needs and ensure product quality and services are never compromised
Support achievement of company business plans, strategies and objectives by coordinating the use of shared resources with other departments and locations
Encourage “win/win” outcomes, leading by example to show cooperativeness, flexibility, and willingness to change
