Responsibilities

Coordinate the activities of the area, ensuring trained personnel, sufficient and high-quality spare parts, to maintain dies in optimal condition, produce quality products, and achieve acceptable performance
Review downtime in the department to develop action plans
Audit the Tool Room Operating System to ensure the effectiveness of activities and system follow-up
Provide support to Line and Bench Technicians to prevent line stoppages or customer complaints
Develop improvement plans for the tools with the highest impact on scrap and downtime
Develop competencies for area leaders (leadership, project development, design, etc.)
Training for newly hired technicians
Support as a technical advisor for complex problems in the area
Follow-up on the manufacturing of spare parts in the Toolshop area to meet the production requirements of the Tool Room
Improve tools to reduce costs due to damage or consumption
Develop RPS projects for adjustments and setups to reduce downtime and increase the plant’s overall OEE
Follow-up on the spare parts system to ensure preventive maintenance of tools within the cycle system
