Requirements

  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures, including conducting regular safety sweeps, proper forklift and hazardous material handling, company steel standards, and reporting unsafe situations
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring systems), product specifications, seasonality, Point-of-Sale systems, phone, and in-person selling techniques
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively engage with people, including handling challenging situations with professionalism and empathy
  • Ability to operate hardware (e.g., cash registers), process purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges using appropriate procedures for different membership and payment types
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, standards of ethics and integrity, using Open Door Policy
  • Ability to complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, resources, and collaboration with managers and co-workers
  • Leverages technology, digital tools, and handheld devices for operations, sales planning, real-time decisions, and team adoption

Responsibilities

  • Maintains facility and sales floor safety and standards
  • Ensures TBC sales floor is organized, stocked, zoned, and merchandised according to company policies, including handling claims, returns, shrink, and damages
  • Presents and maintains merchandise by stocking, setting up, cleaning, organizing displays, removing damaged goods, signing, pricing, and securing merchandise
  • Monitors tire and battery orders daily, assists with installation appointments, communicates lead time changes and cancellations, makes alternative suggestions
  • Assists members with tire maintenance and repair services
  • Provides expert member service: greets members, identifies needs, assists with purchasing/service decisions, resolves concerns, recommends products using Sam's Garage and product knowledge, explains warranties
  • Drives sales and service excellence by communicating value and collaborating with associates to promote TBC offerings
  • Triages and prioritizes service workflow in TBC bays using Sam's Garage, understands service queues, time requirements, prioritizes appointments, re-prioritizes members, makes recommendations to Team Lead/Technicians
  • Serves as brand advocate, models high-quality service, develops/influences team members, assists in training, understands roadblocks
  • Provides products/services per company policies: assists purchasing/service decisions, completes vehicle service requests/tests, operates equipment safely, receives/stores/disposes merchandise/supplies, maintains documents
  • Processes member purchases, assists payments, returns, refunds, exchanges
