Requirements
University or College graduate preferred
Minimum of five years’ experience in the building / construction industry
Exceptional sales competencies
Strong business acumen
Effective communication and presentation skills
Possess creative problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Work autonomously but also as an enthusiastic team player
Must be fluent in English
Position is home based, but candidate must live within reasonable driving distance to an international airport
Ideal candidate would reside in Western Canada
Responsibilities
Conducting safe and effective product knowledge training sessions in many different environments from jobsites to boardrooms
Motivating others and effectively demonstrating confidence in yourself and the products you represent
Working with trades, remodelers, distribution, home builders, architects, designers, and other influencers within the industry
Identifying qualified conversion targets and executing effective sales strategies
Effectively communicating in all requests, commitments, emails, voicemails, deadlines, presentations and requested reports
Commitment of 20%-30% overnight travel
Conducting a formal competitive product review semi-annually for each brand responsible
Assisting with warranty claims as it relates to requests from the warranty department
Submitting a monthly highlight report outlining a summary of travel highlights, customer feedback, competitive field issues, internal issues, significant opportunities being pursued and any success stories from previous month
Conducting interactive guided plant tours on an approved value-added basis
Maintaining a 4-week forward looking schedule to ensure that training and travel occurs consistently, regularly and cost effectively
Communicating with other WRBP employees in effort to avoid potential conflicts of interest and to identify potential ways to help each other reach collective goals
Reaching and exceeding sales targets
Participating in national, regional, and local distributor trade shows, contractor days, festival events and other activities in which your representation is requested (including events outside of a typical work week 2-3 times per year)
